Minerals

Minerals are defined as solid, inorganic, naturally occurring substances with a definite chemical formula and general structure. Almost all chemical elements in the Earth's crust are associated with at least one mineral. They vary in color, hardness, density, crystal form, crystal size, transparency, composition, location, and abundance.

They are fifty importants types of minerals,but I write ten of them:

Talc:

It is a mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate with the chemical.Its colour ranges from white to grey or green and it has a distinctly greasy feel.Talc is used in many industries such as paper making, plastic, paint and coatings, rubber, food, electric cable, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, ceramics, etc.The main producers are the USA (Texas), China and EU (Cyprus)

Pyrite:

The pyrite or iron pyrite, is an iron sulfide.Pyrite has been used since classical times to manufacture copperas.They colors are Pale brass-yellow, tarnishes darker and iridescent. The main producers are USA(Vermont, Colorado...)Perú(Huanzala y Quiruvilca),Italy (Piamonte)Spain(Río Tinto y Navajún)...

Galena

Galena is the natural mineral form of lead sulfide. It is the most important mineral. One of the oldest uses of galena was as kohl, which, in Ancient Egypt, was applied around the eyes.Its color is

Gypsum

Gypsum is a very soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate, with the chemical.It can be used as a fertilizer, is the main constituent in many forms of plaster and is widely mined.Gypsum are found in the cities of Araripina and Grajaú, Brazil, Pakistan, Jamaica, Iran (world's second largest producer), Thailand, Spain (the main producer in Europe), Germany...

Magnetite is a mineral, one of the two common naturally occurring oxides of Iron.Their colors are greyish black or iron and the main producers are Sierra de Enmedio (Lorca) and Kiruna, Suecia.

Quartz

Quartz is a mineral composed of silicon dioxide.The main producers are Minas Gerais, y los de amatistas y ágatas en Río Grande do Sul(Brazil)Segovia(Spain) and Saint Gobain is a multinational company founded and run in France.Their colors are white, transparent and it used for in jewelry and ornamentation.

Fluorite:

The mineral fluorite is formed by the combination of calcium and fluorine.The main producers are Asturias,Cantabria, Andalucía,Cataluña(Spain),Cumberland(England),USA,
San Luis Potos(México)and they used for the manufacture of synthetic cryolite and aluminum fluoride.Their color are variable:green,red,white,yellow...

Aragonite:

Aragonite is a carbonate mineral, one of the two common, naturally occurring, crystal forms of calcium carbonate.In aquaria, aragonite is considered essential for the replication of reef conditions in aquariums.
